Abstract
Description
Método pαrα posicionαr implantes mamarios redondos en base a mareaje de coordenadas en dicho implante Method pαrα positionαr round breast implants based on coordinate marking in said implant
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓNBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
At present, breast implants are introduced through very small incisions, especially when it comes to incisions in the lower margin of the areola. When the moldable implant is introduced, a lot of force must be applied and the shape of the implant is often distorted, leaving the implant twisted and improperly placed in the patient.
The problem of correctly placing a round breast implant, is that today the implants lack a tide that facilitates its correct positioning; since said known implants only have the manufacturing seal in their lower part. Therefore, the only way for the surgeon to ensure that the implant is well placed is by inserting his finger and hand into the base of the implant until palpating the manufacturing seal to see if it is centered. This is a difficult procedure to perform, since the surgeon has to insert the finger and hand into an extremely tight space for the implant. In addition, the surgeon has to reach the base, which is the furthest part of the surgical incision (when it is an incision in the areola) and palpate the seal, which is often difficult to achieve because it is very thin ; especially for surgeons with large hands, this procedure is a laborious and difficult task to perform.
The control of the correct positioning of the implant increases the surgical time and with it the operating room costs and health risks for the patient. If the bad position is not recognized, the cost includes additional surgeries to correct visible defects.
With the purpose of suppressing this and the other inconveniences, the development of a method to facilitate the positioning of the implants through the mapping of coordinates in the opposite part of the base was considered. This This method is intended to be protected by means of the present application because it is a more efficient method of work.
The characteristic details of this new method of positioning through coordinate mapping are shown in the following description and in the drawings that are always accompanied by the same reference numbers to indicate the parts shown; which are mentioned by way of examples and should not be considered as a limitation to the present invention.

As already mentioned, conventional breast implants have only one manufacturing seal (4) in the center of the base (1), which is the only palpable footprint that the surgeon uses to check the placement of said implant. Therefore, I propose in this invention a round breast implant marked at its vertex (2). Where the mark, footprint or marking can be of any visible or palpable type, that is, it can be two-dimensional or three-dimensional To cite an example, the marking can be a point (5) placed exactly at the apex of the implant, as can be seen in Figures 5,6 and 7. Also said marking can additionally carry a series of vertical coordinates (7) starting from point (5) towards the base of the implant; as well as a series of horizontal coordinates (6) that surround point (5).
It is clear that the marking must be adhered to the implant since its manufacture, I feel it is important to highlight that when the marking is two-dimensional, it must be of an indelible and non-toxic paint to the human body. Therefore, it is preferred that the marking be a protrusion or a cleft to make it palpable and easily detected by the surgeon when the implant is placed.
It is also evident that the marking can have any shape, varying the number of vertical and horizontal coordinates, which is included in the present invention.
The invention also comprises a method for placing a round breast implant with the aforementioned coordinates by areolar route. This method does not apply to other routes of approach since in those there is no direct vision on the vertex of the implant.
This method is described in the following steps: i) conventionally introducing a round breast implant with dizziness, described in this invention, to the place it should occupy in the human body. ii) observe and / or palpate, through the surgical incision, the vertex of the implant with the mentioned tide. Therefore, there is no need to reach the base of the implant with the fingers and hands of the surgeon, which is the back, not visible, farther and opposite from the incision. i¡¡) evaluate whether the implant is correctly positioned or not. This is achieved by determining the position of the marking and observing if it is distorted. V) If the implant is incorrectly placed (fig. 8), proceed to modify its positioning until it is correctly positioned (fig. 7). v) Conventionally close the wound.
Through this method, the correct positioning of the implant is better and faster controlled since with this procedure the surgeon avoids having to look for the manufacturing seal at the base of the implant; being this in the most opposite and less accessible place of the incision and distorting the shape of the same implant with the introduction of the hand at the time of looking for the seal.
In this way, it is achieved: i) reduce the surgical time of each procedure and with it all the economic costs derived from it. ii) reduce the time of anesthesia and the risks derived from it for the patient as a result of i). iii) reduce the probability of additional surgery to correct a bad position of an implant.
