Abstract

In an electric arc furnace, in which the electrode lift device (22, 23, 24) and the cover lift device (6) are disposed so that the cover lift (DH) and electrode lift (EH) add up, the weight load of the cover lift device is reduced by the electrode support device and the design of electrode and cover support framework are simplified, in that the electrode lift device (22, 23, 24) is supported on a girder (25), which is connected to the cover support arm, and the guides (26/1, 26/2; 27/1, 27/2; 28/1, 28/2) of the electrode lift columns (19, 20, 21) are fastened in a frame (14), which is fastened on the pivot gantry (11).
