Abstract
비교적 간단한 구조로도 입자상 물질을 간편하게 저감할 수 있고, 필터의 수명 단축을 방지하면서 입자상 물질에 대한 연소 효율을 높일 수 있는 디젤 엔진의 입자상 물질 저감장치를 제공함에 있다. 이를 위한 디젤 엔진의 입자상 물질 저감장치는 디젤 엔진으로부터 배기가스가 배출되는 유로 상에 설치된 하우징과, 하우징 내에 수용되어 상기 하우징 내로 유입되는 배기가스에 포함된 입자상 물질을 포집하는 필터와, 필터에 전기 신호를 전달하는 전극들과, 전극들로 공급되는 전기 신호를 제어하는 제어부를 구비한다. 이에 따라, 필터를 직접 가열하여 입자상 물질을 연소시켜 제거하므로, 필터를 분리해서 세척하는 방식에 비해 편리할 수 있다. 그리고, 전기 히터나 디젤 버너에 의해 필터를 가열하는 방식에 비해, 구조가 단순해질 수 있고, 그로 인해 제조 비용이 절감될 수 있다. 또한, 필터의 일부 영역에서 과열되지 않고 비교적 고르게 가열되므로, 필터의 수명이 충분히 확보될 수 있다.
