Abstract

The present invention relates to a rubber pallet (1) composed of a quadrangular platform (2) with nine feet (3, 4 and 5) that protrude in lower position, which is entirely made of material that was originally destined to make tyres and, having failed quality controls, is currently destined to disposal in a dumping ground.

Claims

AMENDED CLAIMS received by the International Bureau on 02 October 2009 (02.10.2009)
1) Pallet (1) of the type composed of a quadrangular platform (2) with lower feet (3, 4 and 5) to raise and support the said platform (2), characterised in that the platform (2) has a sandwich-like structure composed of: - a pair of external layers, a first upper layer (6) and a second lower layer (7), each of them being composed of a sheet obtained from a mixture made of rubber, rayon and dust wood;
- three or more intermediate layers (8), each of them consisting in a rubber sheet (8) in which a series of identical parallel harmonic steel wires (9) is drowned; it being provided that all layers (6, 7 and 8) have the same length and width and that the steel wires (9) of each intermediate layer (8) are positioned, with respect to the wires (9) of the upper and lower adjacent intermediate layer (8), in non-parallel position. 2) Pallet (1) according to claim 1 , characterised in that the steel wires (9) of each intermediate layer (8) are positioned, with respect to the wires (9) of the upper and lower adjacent intermediate layer (8), in mutual perpendicular position.
3) Pallet (1) according to claims 1 and 2, characterised in that each foot (3, 4 and 5) is entirely made of rubber.
4) Pallet (1) according to claim 3, characterised in that the rubber used to make the feet (3, 4 and 5) has the same mixture as the one used for the external layers (6 and 7).
5) Pallet (1) according to claims 1 and 2, characterised in that each foot (3, 4 and 5) is composed of a metal core (10) that is externally covered with a rubber sheet (11), having the same mixture as the one of the sheets used for the external layers (6 and 7), the said rubber sheet (11) having the same height as the metal core (10) and suitable length to wrap its external lateral surface completely. 6) Pallet (1) according to the above claim, characterised in that under the metal core (10) wrapped with the sheet (11), a rubber disk (12) made of the same material used for the external sheets (6 and 7) is situated, having the same diameter as the external diameter of the rubber coating (11) of the metal core (10).
7) Pallet (1) according to claims 5 and 6, characterised in that the core (10) consists in a tubular cylindrical section. 8) Pallet (1) according to claims 1 and 2, characterised in that each foot (3, 4 and 5) is composed of a cylindrical collar (13) obtained with the same rubber sheet as the intermediate layers (8), with metal wires (9) in vertical position and in that a bottom (14) is positioned under the said cylindrical rubber collar (13), made of the same material as the intermediate layers (8), with wires (9) in horizontal position; it being provided that the cylindrical rubber collar (13) is wrapped with a rubber sheet (11) having the same mixture as the sheets used for the external layers (6 and 7) of the platform (2) and having the same height as the cylindrical rubber collar (13) and suitable length to completely wrap its lateral surface; it being finally provided that under the rubber sheet (11) in rolled configuration, a rubber disk (12) is situated, made of the same material as the external sheets (6 and 7), having the same diameter as the external diameter of the coating with the rubber sheet (11) of the cylindrical rubber collar (13). 9) Pallet according to one of the above claims, characterised in that the mixture used to make the two external layers (6 and 7) is composed of the following weight percentages: 50% rubber, 40% rayon and 10 % wood dust.
