Abstract

A cutting head (10) for a trimmer or similar cutting tool of the portable type, or a lawnmower, or other cutting machines, also provided with wheels, self-propelled, drawn or pushed, for a mass to be cut, such as grass, shrubs and suchlike, comprises a rotor (12) having a circular periphery or edge (13) and cutting blades (14) each of which is formed by a cutting part (24) and a pivoting part (18) by means of which the cutting blades (14) are pivoted cantilevered along the circular periphery (13) of the rotor (12) in correspondence with determinate pivoting points (P), so that each cutting blade (14) is able to rotate between a retracted position with respect to the rotor (12) and an extended position, outside the bulk of the rotor (12). The cutting part (24) of each cutting blade (14) comprises a curved cutting profile (26) having a succession of cutting teeth (28) at intervals with relative grooves (30) so as to achieve a progressive cut of the mass to be cut.
