Abstract

본 발명은 이동 기기용 입체영상생성칩 및 이를 이용한 입체영상표시방법에 대한 것이다. 즉, 이동 기기에 삽입된 입체영상생성 칩을 이용하여 입체 영상을 디스플레이하되, 촬영된 좌측 영상과 우측 영상을 바로 교대로 배치되는 형태로 합성하여 저장/영상처리하는 것이 아니라, 사이드-바이-사이드(side-by-side) 방식으로 연결하여 저장/영상처리를 수행하고, 이후 디스플레이 단계에서 입체영상생성 칩의 좌우 영상을 교대로 배치하는 합성단계를 통해 디스플레이되는 입체영상의 품질을 향상시킬 수 있다. 또한, 일반 2D 영상을 상술한 입체영상생성칩을 통해 3D 디스플레이하는 것이 가능하다.
