Abstract

 光記録媒体に対して情報の記録・再生・消去を行うために用いられ、シンプルな構成を有する光ピックアップ光学系を提供する。光ピックアップ装置1は、コリメータレンズ系23と、ビームエクスパンダー33と、S-SIL素子27bを含む対物レンズ系34とを備える。ビームエクスパンダー33は、3枚のレンズ素子33a~33cから構成されている。ビームエクスパンダー33に含まれる2枚のレンズ素子33a及び33bは、光軸方向に移動することによって、光記録媒体28内部に形成されるスポットの合焦位置を調整すると共に、記録層の深さの相異に起因する球面収差を補正する。
