Abstract
Provided is a power-light composite connector which can use a composite cable having a power cord and an optical cable integrated, easily by branching the composite cable. The power-light composite connector is constituted to comprise a plug (60) including electrodes (65 and 70) protruded to extend from a catch plate (61) in parallel with each other. Further comprised is a socket (30) including electrode inserting holes for receiving the electrodes of the plug, electrodes (40 and 45), and conducting portions (42 and 47) formed in the electrodes for contacting the outer sides of the electrodes of the plug, and a hole (56). Further comprised is an optical connector (50) for receiving one light-transmitting passage (20') from the hole, thereby to cause the end face of the light-transmitting passage to confront the end face of the other light-transmitting passage (20). When the plug is inserted into the socket, the optical connector and the conducting portions of the socket are arranged on the axial backside of the electrode holes of the socket, and the conducting portions are arranged outside of the optical connector.
