Abstract
Disclosed is a benzamide derivative having a novel structure. Also disclosed are a hydrogelling agent containing such a benzamide derivative as an active ingredient, and a hydrogel containing such a benzamide derivative and water. Specifically disclosed are a benzamide derivative represented by the formula (1) below, wherein n is preferable 0; a hydrogelling agent containing a compound represented by the formula (1) below as an active ingredient; and a hydrogel containing a compound represented by the formula (1) below and water. formula (1) (In the formula, X represents OH or NH2; k represents an integer of 10-100; m represents an integer of 11-17; and n represents an integer of 0-17 which is different from the integer represented by m.)
