Abstract

　擬似Ｕ字管方式のバックライト装置を、インバータトランスの数を低減し、隣接するインバータトランス同士の絶縁に厳しい制約が課せられない状態で実現する。複数のランプ（２１）と、インバータ回路（３０）と、発光面とを備えたバックライト装置であって、第１のインバータトランス（Ｔ１）に第１の電極が接続された前記ランプ（２０）が、複数本連続的に配置されて第１のランプ配列群を形成し、第２のインバータトランス（Ｔ２）に第１の電極が接続された前記ランプが、複数本連続的に配置されて第２のランプ配列群を形成し、前記第１のランプ配列群に属する前記ランプの前記第２の電極が、前記第２のランプ配列群に属するいずれかの前記ランプの前記第２の電極と接続されている。
