Abstract

　紙葉類処理機構１０に設けられた搬送路１１ｃの途中に、直線部分および湾曲部分を含むループ形状部分が設けられており、このループ形状部分において紙葉類Ｗ１が循環移動させられることにより当該紙葉類Ｗ１が保留されるようになっている。搬送路１１ｃにおいてループ形状部分よりも上流側にある紙葉類がループ形状部分に送られたときに、この紙葉類がループ形状部分を周回移動する１または束状態の複数の紙葉類に積み重ねられるように、ループ形状部分よりも上流側にある紙葉類およびループ形状部分にある紙葉類をそれぞれ移動させる。ループ形状部分には、当該ループ形状部分で周回移動させられる束状態の複数の紙葉類のうち外側の紙葉類を内側の紙葉類よりも先行させる外側紙葉類先行搬送部分７４ａ、７４ｂと、当該ループ形状部分で周回移動させられる束状態の複数の紙葉類のうち内側の紙葉類を外側の紙葉類よりも先行させる内側紙葉類先行搬送部分７６ａ、７６ｂとがそれぞれ設けられている。
