Abstract
L'objet de la présente invention est de proposer un moteur à combustion interne dans lequel un catalyseur de réduction de l'oxyde d'azote NOx est activé efficacement peu de temps après le début du fonctionnement. Dans le cas où le moteur est froid, le fonctionnement d'un système EGR (recirculation des gaz d'échappement) (40), par exemple, est arrêté (S1) par un contrôle de temps de fonctionnement du moteur à froid effectué par un ECU (bloc de commande électronique) (50). En S2, on détecte si le moteur à combustion interne est ou non à l'état froid, et si OUI, le contrôle passe alors en S3 en déterminant que le moteur est toujours à l'état froid, et si NON, le contrôle passe alors en S5 en déterminant que la transition du contrôle vers l'état de montée en température a été faite. En S5, on commence l'ajout d'eau et d'urée aux gaz d'échappement en arrêtant ou en limitant le fonctionnement d'un brûleur (10), et le fonctionnement normal du système EGR (40) est autorisé. En S3, le brûleur (10) est actionné pour activer très tôt le catalyseur à urée SCR (réduction catalytique sélective) (5). En S4, on détermine si la température de sortie du catalyseur à urée SCR (5) a atteint ou dépassé une température déclenchant l'activation, et si OUI, alors le contrôle passe à l'étape S5. Si NON, alors le contrôle retourne en S3 et le fonctionnement du brûleur (10) se poursuit jusqu'à ce que la température de sortie du catalyseur à urée SCR (5) ait atteint une température déclenchant l'activation.
