Abstract

 予想される組織変位方向と、変位探索方向との間にずれが生じる場合に、前記ずれに起因した誤差を小さくし、弾性画像の精度を向上する超音波撮像装置を提供する。  被検体に対して、互いに交わる複数方向に超音波を照射する超音波探触子と、複数方向の各々に複数の超音波の送受信を行うよう超音波探触子を制御する超音波送受信部と、複数方向の各々について、複数の超音波の送受信の結果から変位ベクトルを算出する変位ベクトル演算部と、変位ベクトルに基づいて被検体の歪情報を算出する歪演算部と、算出された歪情報に基づいて画像データを生成する画像データ生成部と、画像データに基づいて画像を表示する表示部とを有する。
