Abstract

ナビゲーション装置において、設定履歴情報記憶手段は、ユーザが誘導案内を希望して設定した目的地に関連する設定履歴情報を記憶している。目的地が設定されていない状態で車両が走行し始めると、目的地設定手段は、走行中の車両に関する情報及び設定履歴情報に基づいて、自動的に最適な候補地を探し目的地に設定する。続いて、経路探索手段は、目的地設定手段により自動的に設定された目的地への経路を探索する。これによれば、ナビゲーション装置が自動的に目的地を設定することができる。よって、出発前などに検索機能等を使用して目的地を設定する必要がなくなるため、ユーザの煩雑な目的地設定の手間を省くことができると共に、駐車場などでのアイドリング時間短縮を実現できる。
