Abstract

 耐熱保存性に優れ、かつ広い定着温度幅を有する電子写真用トナー、及び該電子写真用トナーの製造方法を提供する。  (A)水系媒体中で3価以上のカルボン酸に由来する構成単位を含むポリエステルを含有する結着樹脂を乳化させる工程、(B)前記工程(A)で得られた乳化液中の乳化粒子を凝集させる工程、及び(C)工程(B)で得られた凝集粒子を合一させる工程、を有する電子写真用トナーの製造方法であって、更に、前記工程(A)の後に(a)オキサゾリン基及びグリシジル基から選ばれる少なくとも一種の官能基を有する化合物を添加する工程、及び(b)前記少なくとも一種の官能基を有する化合物と前記ポリエステルを含有する結着樹脂とを化学結合させる工程を有する、 電子写真用トナーの製造方法、及び該方法により得られる電子写真用トナーである。
