Abstract

　消音構造体２から酸化触媒３への排気ガスの分散性が良好で且つコンパクトな排気浄化装置を提供するもので、酸化触媒のガス流れ方向Ｄ上流側に装備された消音構造体２は、ケーシング５の内部をガス流れ方向Ｄ上流側の分散チャンバ７ａと下流側の分散チャンバ７ｂに分ける分散板６と、分散チャンバ７ａの外部から分散チャンバ７ａ内に挿入されると共にガス流れ方向Ｄ上流側から下流側へ行くに従い順次径が小径となるようにした複数の孔９ａ、９ｂ、９ｃ、９ｄが周部に穿設され、且つ先端が分散板６に固設されたインナパイプ８を備える。分散板６の分散チャンバ７ａ、７ｂ内に位置する部分には、径方向外周側が大径で中心側が小径の複数の孔１４、１５、１６が穿設されている。
