Abstract
A method of treating a nonferrous smelting intermediate product containing arsenic, comprising the leaching step of carrying out oxidation leaching, in an acid region, of a mixed slurry containing a nonferrous smelting intermediate product containing arsenic in its sulfide form and a nonferrous smelting intermediate product containing arsenic and copper in its metal form to thereby obtain a leachate; the liquid regulation step of adding an oxidizing agent to the leachate so as to oxidize the trivalent arsenic to the pentavalent arsenic, thereby obtaining a regulated liquid; and the crystallization step of converting the arsenic of the regulated liquid to scorodite crystal.
