Abstract

A centrifugal fan (5) has a bellmouth (6) for guiding air drawn via a bellmouth inlet (61) to a fan inlet (53) formed at the center of a rotor (51). Ribs (62) functioning as air flow guide sections for guiding the drawn air to the bellmouth inlet (61) are formed on the bellmouth (6) on the surface on its drawing side. The ribs (62) are formed on the surface of the bellmouth (6) such that, for example, they extend toward the bellmouth inlet (61) from the radially outer peripheral side of the bellmouth (6) and incline in the direction of rotation of the centrifugal fan (5). The centrifugal fan (5) is suitable for a thin air conditioner that draws indoor air through a drawing chamber (7) having a small depth dimension.
