Abstract

It is possible to calculate a maximum thermal load of a building where an air conditioner is to be arranged and temporarily select air conditioners having a capacity which satisfies the maximum thermal load. The energy consumptions of the temporarily selected air conditioners are calculated according to a partial load generation frequency of the building. Life cycle costs of the air conditioners are calculated according to the energy consumption and the initial cost. The one having the lowest life cycle cost is selected from the temporarily selected air conditioners.
