Abstract
Disclosed is a method for producing a sulfonic acid group-containing carbonaceous material, which comprises a step wherein a sulfonic acid group-containing carbonaceous material, whose activity is decreased by use as a solid acid catalyst in a reaction, is heated and reactivated in the presence of sulfuric acid.
