Abstract

 PN接合領域34で発生させた光を厚み方向に透過させて表面から射出する薄板状の半導体素子本体31と、その半導体素子本体31の表面を覆うように設けられた表面電極32と、その表面電極32を厚み方向に貫通するものであって前記半導体素子本体31の内部を透過してくる光を集光し外部に射出する柱状をなす複数の誘電体アンテナ36、を具備したLED3と、透光性を有した樹脂製の長尺状をなす外装体2と、を備えており、前記LED3が外装体2の両端部または長手方向に沿って配設されて、当該LED3から射出された光が前記外装体2を介して外部に照射されるように構成した大光量で、かつ、高効率である既存の照明装置と置き換えることができる蛍光灯型LED照明器を提供する。
