Abstract

 サーバ(101)は、フレーム間予測符号化されたデータをストリーム伝送する。サーバ(101)は、単独で復号可能なキーフレームに対してそのキーフレームに続く少なくとも1つの差分フレームを追加し一の送信単位のデータとすると共に、一の送信単位のデータに関する情報であってフレーム番号を含む情報を付与したバッファ用キーフレームを生成する送信データ生成部(116)と、キーフレームの送信タイミングに、その送信タイミングに送信されるべきキーフレームを用いて生成されたバッファ用キーフレームを送信し、差分フレームの送信タイミングに任意のフレームを送信する出力部(114)とを備える。これにより、複数の端末間でストリームを再生する端末を切り替える時のバッファリング時間を短くし、切替えを円滑に行うことができる。
