Abstract

The invention relates to a system for building furniture comprising a frame (1), at least one panel (2) defined by two planar faces (3, 4) and to be mounted together with the frame, and a means (5) for connecting the panel with the frame, characterised in that it comprises: an open recessed housing (10) formed in the frame (1) including at least three bearing points defining a bearing plane (9), a first section of the housing (10) as seen in a plane parallel to the bearing plane being symmetrical relative to at least one symmetry straight line (15); the panel (2) to be removably mounted together with the frame including a second section in a plane parallel to the two planar faces (3, 4) thereof, substantially complementary with said first section of the housing so that the panel can be positioned in the housing (10) in two symmetrical positions; the means (5) for removably connecting the panel (2) with the frame (1), when the panel (2) is placed in the housing (10) on the frame, including at least two sets of fasteners.
