Abstract

Das Meßsystem dient dem Messen einer Dichte eines in einer Prozeßleitung strömenden, entlang einer gedachten Strömungsachse des Meßsystems hinsichtlich eines thermodynamischen Zustandes veränderlichen, insb. zumindest anteilig kompressiblen, Mediums. Das Meßsystem umfaßt dafür wenigstens einen an einer Temperaturmeßstelle plazierten, primär auf eine lokale Temperatur, 9, von vorbei strömendem Medium reagierenden Temperatursensor, der wenigstens ein von der lokalen Temperatur des zu messenden Mediums beeinflußtes Temperaturmeßsignal liefert, wenigstens einen an einer Druckmeßstelle plazierten, primär auf einen lokalen, insb. statischen, Druck, p, von vorbei strömendem Medium reagierenden Drucksensor, der wenigstens ein vom lokalen Druck, p, im zu messenden Medium beeinflußtes Druckmeßsignal liefert, sowie eine mit wenigstens dem Temperatursensor und dem Drucksensor jeweils zumindest zeitweise kommunizierende Meßelektronik. Die Meßelektronik erzeugt unter Verwendung sowohl des Temperaturmeßsignals als auch zumindest des Druckmeßsignals zumindest zeitweise wenigstens einen, insb. digitalen, Dichte-Meßwert, der eine lokale Dichte, ρ, momentan repräsentiert, die das strömende Medium an einer von der Druckmeßstelle und/oder der Temperaturmeßstelle entlang der Strömungsachse vorgebbar beabstandeten, insb. ortsfesten, virtuellen Dichtemeßstelle aufweist.
