Abstract

A client (2) extracts from a kana-Chinese conversion storing unit (7) a first kana-Chinese character conversion information that is a kana-Chinese character conversion candidate of an arbitrary kana character sequence in accordance with the arbitrary kana character sequence and a kana-Chinese character conversion command input from an input unit (3) and transmits the arbitrary kana character sequence and the kana-Chinese character conversion command to a server (4). The server (4) extracts from a kana-Chinese conversion storing unit (12) second kana-Chinese character conversion information that is a kana-Chinese character conversion candidate of an arbitrary kana character sequence in accordance with the arbitrary kana character sequence and a kana-Chinese character conversion command transmitted from the client (2) and transmits it to the client (2). The client (2) outputs the first kana-Chinese character conversion information extracted from the kana-Chinese conversion storing unit (7) and the second kana-Chinese character conversion information transmitted from the server (4) to a display unit (1), which displays it.
