Abstract

The invention relates to a dismantling method for recycling in particular elements of the pressure envelope of a used steam generator (1) in the production of a replacement generator. The method comprises cutting the upper portion (2b) of the pressure envelope (2), conveying and returning the conditioned remaining portion of the steam generator to an intervention pit, cutting the pressure envelope (2) under the tubular plate (7), removing and placing into a confinement housing the assembly including the tubular plate (7), the tube array (3) and the water tank (11), and decontaminating inside the intervention pit the inner and outer walls of the lower portion (2a) of the pressure envelope (2) for the subsequent reuse thereof when assembling a replacement steam generator.
