Abstract

The invention relates to a system for injecting fuel into the cylinders of an internal combustion engine (1), comprising at least one injector (11) per cylinder, characterised in that it comprises upstream from the injector(s) on the fuel path, an air-fuel premix device (2) comprising a pressurised air inlet duct (3) and a fuel inlet duct (4) at a pressure lower than that of the air, said ducts (3, 4) giving into a mixing chamber (14), and a duct (7) directing the air-fuel mixture out of the mixing chamber (14) towards the injector(s) (11). The invention also relates to an automobile equipped with such an injection system.
