Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de saisie d'un PIN (numéro personnel d'identification) sécurisé et de paramétrage du mode de fonctionnement à l'aide d'un détecteur d'empreinte digitale intégré dans un dispositif portable, qui est composé au moins d'une unité de traitement biométrique d'empreinte digitale. L'unité de traitement biométrique d'empreinte digitale récupère les données d'empreinte digitale, externes au dispositif, réalise un traitement du signal, authentifie le signal récupéré par rapport à des paramètres d'identité stockés dans le dispositif, indépendant d'un PC hôte. Le résultat de l'authentification est utilisé pour activer des fonctions sécurisées du dispositif portable, par exemple, une mémoire flash, un jeton de sécurité, une carte à puce, entre autres. Dans la présente invention, le détecteur d'empreinte digitale est non seulement utilisé pour saisir l'image de l'empreinte digitale mais également détecter si une empreinte digitale ou un doigt est présent(e) ou absent(e). La détection de doigt avec le temps et la durée de détection ou avec la direction de mouvement de doigt sur le détecteur définissent un procédé de saisie d'un PIN sécurisé et de paramétrage du mode de fonctionnement.
