Abstract

The invention relates to a supply unit for an on-board power system of a vehicle, which can be stabilized with relation to a basic on-board power system that comprises a starter and a battery of the vehicle. The supply unit comprises a DC/DC converter which provides a constant supply voltage to the on-board power system to be stabilized in the event of voltage dips of the basic on-board power system and has a substantial energy consumption. The aim of the invention is to improve said supply unit in such a manner that the on-board power system to be stabilized does not need constant supply via the DC/DC converter. According to the invention and in order to achieve said aim, the on-board power system to be stabilized can be voltage-coupled or voltage-decoupled to the basic on-board power system by means of a relay.
