Abstract

The invention relates to a method for accessing information of network pages or data processing units of a network, wherein said information is protected by the personal access data of a user. According to the invention, the personal access data and the address of the associated network page or data processing unit are stored on a server. After the server is started by the user, the corresponding network page or data processing unit is started by the server and the personal access data is transmitted. The desired information is then sent to the data processing unit of the user. The invention further provides that the server supports the establishment of the connection between the user and the target network page or data processing unit such that the user can directly start the associated target page or sub-page. The user is then registered on the target page, even if an authentication process is required by the target network page.
