Abstract

The invention relates to a conveying device (10) allowing particles to be transported from a hopper situated at ground level as far as the container, while at the same time protecting the particles from the weather and limiting the attrition thereof. To this end, it comprises a conveyor belt (11) and a protective jacket (13), open at its ends and able to accommodate the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt is equipped with at least one containment skirt (14) able to isolate from the interior wall of the jacket the particles that are being transported by one or more compartments of the conveyor belt. The invention also relates to a container loading installation using a conveying device according to the invention, and to a corresponding loading method.
