Abstract

A supervision node (SN) uses a random number (214a) received from a random number node (RN) and prestored secret information (216a) to generate a temporary key (210a), which is used to encrypt a command (206a) input by the user. Each security camera (SC) uses a random number (314a) received from the random number node (RN) and prestored secret information (316a) to generate a temporary key (310a), which is used to decrypt received encrypted data. Upon reception of a reset command, each of the supervision node (SN) and the security cameras (SC) resets the temporary key at that point in time.
