Abstract

 本発明では、被検体内に第1超音波信号を送信し第1超音波信号に基づく被検体内から来た第2超音波信号を受信する超音波探触子2において、圧電材料を備えて成り、圧電現象を利用することによって電気信号と超音波信号との間で相互に信号を変換することができる複数の第1圧電素子22を備え、複数の第1圧電素子22のそれぞれは、複数の区域Arに分割され、複数の区域Arのそれぞれに、共振周波数が互いに異なる複数の第2圧電素子220を備える。
