Abstract

When a turbine rotation speed (Ntur) is not less than a threshold (Nref) 1 for determining the abnormality of an actuator of a hydraulic circuit for driving a transmission and when the turbine rotation speed (Ntur) is not less than the threshold (Nref) 2 which is lower than the upper limit value (Nmax) of a rotation speed range where overspeed does not occur in a rotation element of the transmission, value 1 is set to an output limiting flag (Felim) to start limiting an engine torque. When the turbine rotation speed (Ntur) is larger than the threshold (Nref) 1 and is less than the threshold (Nref) 3 which is smaller than the threshold (Nref) 2, value 0 is set to the output limiting flag (Felim) to cancel the limiting of the engine torque. When the state in which the turbine rotation speed (Ntur) is not less than the threshold (Nref) 1 is continued over a predetermined time (Tb), the abnormality of the transmission is determined.
