Abstract

Eine Vorrichtung zur Charakterisierung von Zellen, insbesondere zur Vermehrung von Zellen und zur anschließenden Charakterisierung der Zellen, umfasst: ein planares Substrat, auf dem wenigstens eine Reaktionsstelle vorgesehen ist, wobei jede der wenigstens einen Reaktionsstelle einen zentralen hydrophilen Bereich umfasst, der außenseitig von einem ersten hydrophoben Bereich umgeben ist, der wiederum außenseitig von einem mittleren hydrophilen Bereich umgeben ist, der außenseitig von einem zweiten hydrophoben Bereich umgeben ist, sowie einen Aufsatz, welcher mit dem Substrat lösbar verbindbar ist und welcher wenigstens einen eine obere Öffnung sowie eine untere Öffnung aufweisenden Durchgangskanal aufweist, wobei, wenn der Aufsatz mit dem Substrat verbunden ist, wenigstens eine der dem Substrat zugewandten unteren Öffnung(en) des wenigstens einen Durchgangskanals des Aufsatzes auf einem zentralen hydrophilen Bereich einer Reaktionsstelle derart angeordnet ist, dass in dem wenigstens einen Durchgangskanal befindliche Flüssigkeit zumindest einen Teil des zentralen hydrophilen Bereichs der Reaktionsstelle benetzen kann, die Flüssigkeit jedoch nicht den diesen umgebenden mittleren hydrophilen Bereich der Reaktionsstelle benetzen kann.
