Abstract

 ZrO2及び/又はAl2O3を含む使用済み耐火物を処理して、ZrO2、及びAl2O3以外の成分を電鋳耐火物原料として実用上問題のないレベルまで低減させて、ZrO2成分及び/又はAl2O3成分の含有量を上げて高純度とした高酸化性の耐火物粒子を簡便かつ、生産性よく製造する方法を提供する。  本発明は、化学成分として、質量%で、ZrO2及び/又はAl2O3:75~97%、SiO2:2~25%、Na2O、K2O及びLi2Oを合量(Na2O+K2O+Li2O)で:0.4~7%、CaO:2%以下、MgO:2%以下、を含有する使用済み耐火物と、前記使用済み耐火物に対して外掛の質量%で1~8%であるカーボン粒子とを、溶融炉に投入しながら溶融し、溶融後、溶融物を出湯しながら圧縮空気を吹付けて、ZrO2及び/又はAl2O3の含有量を増加させた耐火物粒子とする耐火物粒子の製造方法。
