Abstract

Provided is a radio communication device which can prevent degradation of an error ratio characteristic when using both of the CDD transmission and the CDM transmission in combination. The radio communication device includes: a phase rotation amount setting unit (108) which sets a cyclic delay diversity transmission phase rotation amount for phase rotation units (109-2 to 109-M) in such a manner that a phase rotation amount in a subcarrier containing a symbol block to be code-multiplexed is smaller than a phase rotation amount in a subcarrier containing a symbol not to be code-multiplexed; phase rotation units (109-2 to 109-M) which give a phase rotation for the cyclic delay diversity transmission to the symbol arranged in each of the subcarriers according to the phase rotation amount inputted from the phase rotation amount setting unit (108); and radio transmission units (112-1 to 112-M) which perform the cyclic delay diversity transmission of M pieces of OFDM symbols from M pieces of antennas.
