Abstract
Energy efficiency of a thermal decomposition system is enhanced by effectively using combustible gas generated from the thermal decomposition system. The thermal decomposition system for thermally decomposing a matter to be processed comprises a gas generating device for generating combustible gas by thermally decomposing at least a part of the matter to be processed, and a heating device for heating a matter, which is to be heated and placed therein, by combusting the combustible gas. The heating device performs continuous processing where the matter to be heated is charged at least once again during heating, and the gas generating device performs batch processing where the matter to be processed is charged collectively and decomposed thermally.
