Abstract

地図検索装置は、施設検索手段が、キーワードに対応する複数の施設をデータベースから検索する。エリア抽出手段が、検索した施設の各地点に対し領域を定め、前記領域の分布に基づき、施設が密集したエリアを抽出する。エリア名称決定手段が、抽出したエリアに含まれる施設の情報を用いて各エリアのエリア名称を決定する。表示順序決定手段が、エリアに含まれる地点の密集度に基づき、エリア名称を表示する優先順位を決定する。これにより、地図検索装置は、キーワードによる検索に対し、検索結果を施設が密集したエリア単位で出力することが可能となる。
