[27] This application claims the benefit of Korean U.M. Application No.
20-2007-0018362, filed on November 14, 2007, in the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein in its entirety by reference.
[28] First, jeans 30 according to the present embodiment make an outline of user's buttocks look attractive and sexy due to several dart portions that are disposed on portions of a back surface of the jeans 30 and closely contact the user's buttocks.
[29] In addition, in the jeans 30 according to the present embodiment, the jeans 30 themselves support and center the user's buttocks (like in the case where the user wears a waist girdle having a function of body figure beautify) so that the user's body looks stylish and well-balanced.
[30] As used hereinafter, 'dart' refers to a portion formed by folding and sewing a predetermined portion of a cloth in a long triangular shape in order to adjust the plane cloth to a three-dimensional body shape.
[31] FIG. 4 is a partial exploded perspective view of the jeans 30 according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[32] The same reference numerals in the drawings denote the same element.
[33] Referring to FIG. 4, the jeans 30 according to the present embodiment includes a front surface 12 and back surfaces 32a and 32b, which are coupled to each other and accommodate a user's lower body, connection surfaces 18a and 18b sewn to upper portions of the back surfaces 32a and 32b and supporting a lower portion of a user's waist, and a belt portion 14 coupled to the front surface 12 and the connection surfaces 18a and 18b. York lines 38, which are boundary lines between the back surfaces 32a and 32b and the connection surfaces 18a and 18b, extend in right and left directions to be symmetric to each other and join the front surface 12.
[34] The back surfaces 32a and 32b are symmetric to each other. In particular, first and second dart potions 36 and 34 are disposed on portions of each of the back surfaces 32a and 32b, and contact user's buttocks. That is, the single first dart portion 36 and the single dart portion 34 are disposed on the portion of the back surface 32a illustrated in the left side of FIG. 4, and the single first dart portion 36 and the single dart portion 34 are also disposed on the portion of the back surface 32b illustrated in the right side of FIG. 5.
[35] In particular, the second dart portion 34 is disposed between a pocket 20 and the front surface 12 and extends in an approximately horizontal direction. The first dart portion 36 is disposed between the packet 20 and the york line 38 and extends in an approximately vertical direction. The horizontal and vertical directions are directions as seen from the outside of the first and second dart portions 36 and 34.
[36] As described above, since the first dart portion 36 and the second dart portion 34 extend in vertical and horizontal directions, imaginary lines extending in longitudinal directions of the second dart portion 34 and the first dart portion 36 cross each other at a predetermined intersection.
[37] The location of the intersection between the imaginary lines is very important. Thus, the intersection is in an area corresponding to a most projecting portion of user's buttocks or an area disposed slightly below the most projecting portion. Thus, the jeans 30 have an esthetic function and make an outline of the user's buttocks looks attractive.
[38] FIG. 5 is a view for explaining a structure of the back surface 32b of the jeans 30 of
FIG. 4. FIG. 6 is a perspective view of the back surface 32b including the first and second dart portions 36 and 34, which are illustrated in an inside out position. That is, FIG. 5 illustrates the case where the first and second dart portions 36 and 34 are not completed. From among the pair of back surfaces 32a and 32b illustrated in FIG 4, only the back surface 32b illustrated in the right side of FIG. 4 is exemplified in FIGS. 5 and 6.
[39] Referring to FIG. 5, the first dart portion 36 is disposed at an upper portion of the back surface 32b, which contacts an edge of the connection surface 18b. In addition, the second dart portion 34 is disposed at a portion of the back surface 32b, which contacts an edge of the front surface 12.
[40] The second dart portion 34 is formed by folding a predetermined portion corresponding to the back surface 32b upwards so as to generate an external folding line 34a and an internal folding line 34b, folding and attaching the predetermined portion to the back surface 32b in a direction indicated by an arrow 'P' so that a folding surface 34c is disposed below a cover surface 34d, and then sewing and fixing the resulting structure.
[41] An angle between the external folding line 34a and the internal folding line 34b may be equal to or less than 30 degrees. The folding surface 34c is a region between the external folding line 34a and the internal folding line 34b. In addition, the cover surface 34d is a triangular region opposite the folding surface 34c with respect to the external folding line 34a.
[42] In the meantime, the first dart portion 36 has the same configuration as the second dart portion 34. That is, the first dart portion 36 has a folding surface 36c and a cover surface 36d, which have the same area. In addition, an external folding line 36a is disposed between the folding surface 36c and the cover surface 36d. The first dart portion 36 is formed by folding and attaching a predetermined portion corresponding to the first dart portion 36 to the back surface 32b in a direction indicated by an arrow 'P' and then sewing and fixing the resulting structure.
[43] A manufacturing method of the first and second dart portions 36 and 34 is well known to one of ordinary skill in the art.
[44] As described above, by forming the first and second dart portions 36 and 34, a three- dimensional effect is generated in the back surface 32b.
[45] FIG. 6 illustrated the first and second dart portions 36 and 34, which are illustrated in an inside out position when the first and second dart portions 36 and 34 are completed.
[46] Referring to FIG. 6, a portion of the back surface 32b, which contacts user's buttocks, is illustrated to have a downward concave shape due to the first and second dart portions 36 and 34. Likewise, by forming the portion of the back surface 32b, which contacts the user's buttocks, to be projected outwards, the back surfaces 32a and 32b do not push the user's buttocks in the direction indicated by the arrow 'a' in FIG. 3, and thus the user's buttocks look to have enough volume and are supported by the back surface 32b.
[47] FIG. 7 illustrates the case when a user wears the jeans 30 of FIG. 4. In FIG. 7, only the back surface 32b illustrated in the right side of FIG. 4 is illustrated; the back surface 32a illustrated in the left side of FIG. 4 may have the same configuration as the back surface 32b.
[48] Referring to FIG. 7, by forming the first and second dart portions 36 and 34 on the back surface 32b of the jeans 30, the back surfaces 32a and 32b of the jeans 30 are projected in a direction indicated by an arrow 'Z' (when a user already has a beautiful outline of buttocks), and thus the jeans 30 do not adversely affect the outline of the user's buttocks. Even when a user has drooping buttocks, since the buttocks are put into a concave portion made by the first and second dart portions 36 and 34, a body figure is automatically beautified so that an outline of the buttocks looks attractive, sexy and well-balanced.
[49] FIG. 8 illustrates a side view of the jeans 30 of FIG. 4.
[50] Referring to FIG. 8, by forming dart portions on portions of the back surfaces 32a and 32b of the jeans 30, which contact user's buttocks, a region 'A' of the back surfaces 32a and 32b is three-dimensionally projected so that an outline of a user's buttocks look sexy. In particular, the portion of the back surfaces 32a and 32b, which contact the user's buttocks, is projected regardless of the pocket 20.
[51] In the present embodiment, the single first dart portion 36 and the single second dart portion 34 are used. However, if necessary, the number of dart portions may vary. For example, two or three first and second dart portions may be used.
[52] While the present invention has been particularly shown and described with reference to exemplary embodiments thereof, it will be understood by one of ordinary skill in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention as defined by the following claims.
