Abstract

 CaCl2含有溶融物、特に、TiCl4のCa還元により生成したTi粒(粉)が含まれているCaCl2含有溶融物中のTi粉の濃縮方法および装置を提供する。Ti粉が分散しているCaCl2含有溶融物のTi濃度を液体サイクロンによって高める。TiCl4のCa還元により生成したTi粉が含まれているCaCl2含有溶融物中のTi粉の濃縮に好適に適用できる。液体サイクロンとして、胴体部(9)の直径Dcが40~300mmであり、胴体部(9)の長さLが前記直径の0.5~8倍である液体サイクロンを使用することとすれば、良好な回収率で溶融塩のTi濃度を高めることができる。この濃縮方法は、本発明の濃縮装置により容易に実施することができる。
