Abstract

 波長λが400~410nmとなるレーザー光を、開口数NAが0.8~0.9となる光学系を介して情報記録層に照射することで記録再生が可能な光記録媒体であって、この情報記録層として、予め情報が記録された再生専用情報記録層と、再生専用情報記録層とは別の層であって追記型又は書換型による情報記録が可能な情報記録層とを少なくとも備えるようにした。更に、再生専用情報記録層は、レーザー光の光入射面から最も近い位置に配置した。この結果、再生専用情報記録層と情報記録層の双方を有する各種光記録媒体の記録再生特性を向上させることができる。
