Abstract

 符号化復号システムは、画像符号化装置100が、画像を符号化する場合に、符号化対象となる画像を複数の小画像に分割し、分割した小画像の境界面から離れる方向に小画像の符号化を実行する。また、画像符号化装置100は、符号化処理を実行する場合に、小画像の境界付近の画素を符号化せず、非圧縮データのまま伝送する。また、画像符号化装置100は、符号化処理を実行する場合に、境界面からの距離に応じて符号化に使用する量子化ステップを切り替えることで、境界面付近は細かい量子化ステップを利用してデータ量を所定値以上割り当てる。
