Abstract
This freeze-drying apparatus has a large number of contained trays at the capacity ratio of a drying can so that it has a satisfactory heating efficiency, and has a low energy consumption at a dehydration ratio so that it has a low production cost at the dehydration ratio. A multistage heating board structure (15), which is formed such that a heating board (40) of an upper stage can move at a desired distance into and out of contact with a heating board (40) of a lower stage, is suspended by upper wheels (25) from guide rails, and is enabled to roll on rails by lower wheels (28) so that it can move into and out of a drying can (12). In the drying can (12), the sublimation and dehydration are promoted by the approach of the heating boards (40). After the end of the drying operation, the structure (15) is moved to over a supporting platform (35) having an elevating function and disposed ahead of the drying can (12). Before the structure (15) drops to the floor, the heating boards (40) are spaced by the gravitational force so that the trays can be taken in and out on the floor, and so that the heating boards (40) can be easily rinsed. Thus, the freeze-drying apparatus can be manufactured at a low cost and for a short period.
