Abstract

本発明は、高い発光効率を示し、且つ低駆動電圧化した有機EL素子材料、それを用いた有機EL素子、照明装置及び表示装置を提供する。本発明は、陽極と陰極により挟まれた発光層を含む複数の有機層を有する有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子において、該有機層の少なくとも1層が、下記一般式(0)で表される部分構造を有し、分子量が700以上である化合物を含有し、且つ、該化合物が、基板上に該化合物の薄膜を膜厚25nmで形成し、20℃の1‐ブタノールに3秒間浸潰したとき、波長340~360nmにおいて最大の吸光度を示す波長において測定したときの吸光度の減少率が10%以内である化合物であり、更に、該化合物を含有する層と隣接する少なくとも1層が湿式法で形成されていることを特徴とする。
