Abstract
It is an object to provide an image picking-up device that is compact in structure and can still obtain a plurality of ranging images corresponding to a plurality of wavelength regions, respectively. An image picking-up device (100) is provided with a plurality of lenses (10a, 10b), the optical axes of which are substantially in parallel with each other; a composite filter (30) in which a plurality of filter element groups corresponding to a plurality of different transmissive wavelength characteristics, respectively, are arranged in due order, an image picking-up element (20) that picks up a plurality of images which are formed by the lenses (10a, 10b), respectively, through the composite filter (30); and a ranging calculation unit (53) that uses the plurality of images picked up by the image picking-up element (20) to carry out ranging calculations. The ranging calculation unit (53) calculates parallax information from the plurality of images obtained through the plurality of filter elements, respectively, thereby seeking a plurality of parallax information components each corresponding to the plurality of transmissive wavelength characteristics.
