Abstract

　電気車用の交流電動機を駆動するための電力変換装置を構成するに際し、冷却装置が大型化することを回避して、小型、軽量、低コストで構成すること。交流電動機を制御する制御装置内に具備される電流指令生成部は、電力変換装置内の主回路であるインバータが直流電源の出力電圧の下で発生し得る最大電圧を出力している状態下で、かつ、トルク指令が減少した場合において、インバータの損失が増加しないように調整され、トルク指令に基づくトルクを交流電動機が発生するような電流指令を出力する。
