Abstract

 基板と、基板上に形成され、磁気情報を記録する磁気記録層と、磁気記録層に隣接して配置され、伸縮可能である圧電材料とを有する磁気記録媒体が開示されている。好ましくは、圧電材料は、基板上で、磁気記録層上のトラックを横切る方向に所定の間隔を空けて形成され、磁気記録層は、圧電材料の間に形成される。圧電材料は、レーザ光または紫外線を照射することで、少なくともトラックを横切る方向に伸縮する。圧電材料は、チタン酸ジルコン酸ランタン鉛、チタン酸バリウムまたはニオブ酸カリウムである。
