Abstract

 本発明は、リアルタイム性の要求されるデータを記録媒体に記録する場合であっても、記録媒体における書き込みレートの大きい領域及び小さい領域を有効に活用して当該データをリアルタイムに記録することができるデータ記録装置を提供する。  本発明のデータ記録装置は、一時的にデータを蓄積するバッファ機能部11と、前記バッファ機能部11に蓄積されたデータの蓄積量を監視するバッファ状態監視部13と、前記バッファ状態監視部13によって監視している蓄積量が所定値未満である場合には、記録部12における第1の書き込みレートにて書き込み可能な第1の記録領域に前記バッファ部に蓄積されたデータを書き込み、前記バッファ状態監視部13によって監視している蓄積量が所定値以上である場合には、前記記録部12における前記第1の書き込みレートよりも大きい第2の書き込みレートにて書き込み可能な第2の記録領域に前記バッファ機能部11に蓄積されたデータを書き込む書き込み制御部16と、を備えるものである。
