Description
HOLDER FOR ICE CREAMS, ICE LOLLIES AND SIMILAR PACKAGED PRODUCTS
Technical field
The present invention relates to a holder for ice creams, ice lollies and similar packaged products. Background art
As is known, holders for ice creams, ice lollies and similar food products are already commercially available which comprise a dome-shaped body which has, on a concave face, a tab that enters the body of the ice cream and the like and has, on the opposite face, a grip element constituted by a figure that can be detached from the dome-shaped element, so that it can be used for example as a toy item once the ice cream has been eaten.
This embodiment, which has been found to be valid in many respects, however suffers the drawback of providing a grip element that cannot be manipulated easily, due to the fact that it has the shape of the figure that is to be reproduced, and therefore in many cases grip is not easy.
Another aspect is constituted further by the fact that the figure is immediately visible, and therefore the surprise effect for the consumer, which is typical of promotional items linked to food products designed mainly for children, is lost. Disclosure of the invention
The aim of the invention is to eliminate the drawbacks cited above, by providing a holder for ice creams, ice lollies and similar packaged products that allows to have a grip element that is particularly comfortable and easy and further allows to associate with the food product a surprise or toy item that can be used after consuming the product.
Within this aim, an object of the invention is to provide a holder for ice cream that is particularly versatile and capable of adapting to all the contingent requirements. Another object of the present invention is to provide a holder which,
thanks to its particular constructive characteristics, is capable of giving the greatest assurances of reliability and safety in use.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a holder for ice creams, ice lollies and similar packaged products that can be obtained easily starting from commonly commercially available elements and materials.
This aim and these and other objects that will become better apparent hereinafter are achieved by a holder for ice creams, ice lollies and similar packaged products, comprising a dome-shaped body that has, on one face, a tab that can be embedded in the ice cream and the like and, on the opposite face, a grip element, characterized in that said grip element has a hollow body that defines inside it a compartment that can be accessed from the outside.

Figure 1 is an exploded perspective view of the holder; Figure 2 is a schematic view of the holder with an ice cream and the like applied thereto;
Figure 3 is a sectional view of the holder;
Figure 4 is a view of the packaged ice cream with a covering element; Figure 5 is a view of an embodiment in which the grip element is optically transparent.
Ways of carrying out the invention
With reference to the figures, the holder for ice creams, ice lollies and similar packaged products according to the invention, generally designated by the reference numeral 1, comprises a dome-shaped body 2, which has a concave flange 3 delimited by a peripheral rim 4.
A tab 5 protrudes from one face of the dome-shaped body 2, more specifically from the concave face, and is designed to be embedded in the ice cream, ice lolly or the like, designated by the reference numeral 6.
Advantageously, there is further a covering enclosure 7, which is applied at the peripheral rim 4 and contains internally the ice cream 6.
One of the peculiarities of the holder according to the invention is constituted by the fact that on the face of the dome-shaped body 2, that lies opposite the face provided with the tab 5, there is a grip element, generally designated by the reference numeral 10, which has the peculiarity that it is constituted by a hollow body 11 with a rim 12 at the free end that enters by pressing at a central rim 13 defined on the dome-shaped body.
In this manner, the hollow body 1 1 defines internally a cavity or compartment 15 in which it is possible to insert an item that can be of any type and is generally designated by the reference numeral 20. The hollow body 11, as shown schematically in Figure 5, can be optionally made of optically transparent material, so as to allow to view externally the figure or item that is arranged internally.
With the described arrangement it is possible to have available a holder for ice creams, ice lollies and similar packaged products in which a comfortable grip element is available which encloses internally a promotional item that can be of any type.
It should also be noted that the hollow body has a relatively large size, so that it is also suitable for young children.
From what has been described above it is therefore evident that the invention achieves the proposed aim and objects, and in particular the fact is stressed that a holder for ice creams is provided which, in addition to allowing to obtain easy protection for the ice cream, also offers an element or region for collecting any melted product, and moreover one has available a comfortable grip element which constitutes the container for a promotional item or other article that one wishes to distribute, which can be
accommodated easily internally and can be accessed simply by removing the hollow body from the dome-shaped body.
In practice, the materials used, so long as they are compatible with the specific use, as well as the contingent shapes and dimensions, may be any according to requirements.
The disclosures in Italian Patent Application No. MI2007U000339 from which this application claims priority are incorporated herein by reference.
Where technical features mentioned in any claim are followed by reference signs, those reference signs have been included for the sole purpose of increasing the intelligibility of the claims and accordingly, such reference signs do not have any limiting effect on the interpretation of each element identified by way of example by such reference signs.
Claims
1. A holder (1) for ice creams, ice lollies and similar packaged products, comprising a dome-shaped body (2) that has, on one face, a tab (5) that can be embedded in the ice cream and the like and, on the opposite face, a grip element (10), characterized in that said grip element (10) has a hollow body (1 1) that defines inside it a compartment (15) that can be accessed from the outside.
2. The holder according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises, on said hollow body (1 1), a rim (12) at the free end of said hollow body (1 1) that can be inserted by pressing at a central rim (13) defined on said dome- shaped body (2).
3. The holder according to claim 1 , characterized in that it comprises an item (20) that is inserted detachably in the cavity or compartment (15) defined by said hollow body.
4. The holder according to claim 1, characterized in that said hollow body (11) is made of optically transparent material.
